Originally from Dublin, Ireland, our connection with the Costa Blanca began in 1998 when we bought our first holiday home in Orihuela Costa.
Today, we are based here and proud to call the area home.
What began as a place for family holidays gradually became a much bigger part of our lives. Over the years, my wife and I, along with our four children, have developed a deep connection to the area and a genuine understanding of what it's like to own a home and spend much of your life in Spain.
We've experienced many of the same decisions and challenges faced by people moving from Ireland and elsewhere to the Costa Blanca — from buying and selling property and finding reliable local businesses, to navigating schools, residency, healthcare, motoring and the everyday practicalities of life in Spain. We've also had the opportunity to discover and enjoy everything the area has to offer.
Nearly three decades later, that firsthand experience is at the heart of Costa Living Guide.

Can my business appear in more than one category?
Yes. If your business genuinely provides services across more than one relevant category, we can discuss the most appropriate way to present your business on Costa Living Guide.
We want your profile to accurately reflect what you offer without creating unnecessary duplication.
If your business operates across multiple relevant areas, tell us when you apply and we'll advise on the best approach.
How long does membership last?
Your Founding Partner membership runs for 12 months from the date you join.
This gives your business a full year to establish its presence on Costa Living Guide and benefit from the visibility, promotion and opportunities included within your chosen partnership.
We'll contact you before your membership ends to discuss continuation and any available renewal options.
How do enquiries work?
Visitors can contact your business directly through the contact options available on your profile, which may include your website, telephone, WhatsApp or other agreed contact methods.
Where Costa Living Guide receives a relevant enquiry that we believe is suitable for your business, we may also introduce that enquiry to an appropriate partner.
Our aim is to make it easy for people to move from finding your business on Costa Living Guide to contacting you directly.
We do not guarantee a specific number of enquiries or leads, as this will depend on audience demand, search activity, your business category and the services you provide.
What happens after the Founding Partner period?
At the end of your initial Founding Partner period, we'll contact you to discuss your options for continuing with Costa Living Guide.
Founding Partner status is intended to recognise businesses that joined us during our launch phase. Renewal options, pricing and benefits may develop as the platform grows.
How are businesses selected?
We don't want Costa Living Guide to become a directory where any business can simply pay to appear.
